About Exam

DMRC recruits eligible candidates for different executive and non-executive posts. The Selection process of the DMRC 2017 varies in the number of stages as per the post applied for. The candidates have to appear for two or three rounds after the written test. For the post of Assistant manager, candidates have to appear for a GDPI after clearing the DMRC exam. For the post of SC/TO and CRA, candidates have to appear for a psycho test and interview after the written test. For recruitment to the post of JE, the candidate has to clear PI and medical examination after clearing the written test.

Eligibility

For Station Controller/ Train Operator and Junior Engineer: Three years engineering diploma in electrical/electronic or B.Sc. Hons/B. Sc. in (Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics) from an institute recognized by Government of India.

For Customer Relations Assistant and Stenographer: Graduate degree in any discipline from a Government recognized University. Candidates must have computer application course certificate of minimum 6 weeks duration for Customer Relations Assistant post. Those who wish to be recruited as a stenographer must have done one year course in Office Management and Secretarial Practice or equivalent. Shorthand Speed of 80 wpm/English Typing will be required along with proficiency in Hindi.

For Account Assistant and Office Assistant: A graduate degree in B.A./B.Sc./B.Com or any equivalent degree will be required from a Government recognized university to be recruited as Account Assistant or Office Assistant.

For Maintainer: ITI (NCVT/SCVT) in specific trade only.  

Age Limit: A candidate must not be born earlier than July 02, 1988 and not later than July 01, 1998. The candidate should be between 18 to 28 years of age. However, for the post of Maintainer, the age of the candidate must be more than 18 years but not above 25 years. 

The upper age relaxations offered to the candidates for reserved categories is given below:

SC/ST/OBC candidates of UP domicile receive upper age relaxation of 5 years.

Age relaxation for Ex-servicemen of UP will be length of service + 3 years, subject to a maximum age of 40 years.

Upper age relaxation of 10 years for PWD unreserved candidates (of UP domicile) and 15 years for PWD, SC/ST/OBC candidates for posts where reservation for PWD is admissible.

Exam Process

The mode of application varies according to the post for which the candidate is applying. Candidates applying for the following posts, have to apply through online mode only.

Online Mode

Candidate has to click on Career Tab on the official website of DMRC. Open the recruitment notification and fill the details asked to apply. Candidate has to then upload a scanned image of candidate’s photograph and signature. Upload required certificates in PDF format. For making payment, download the e-challan and make payment in cash at nearest SBI Branch. 

Offline Mode

Candidates applying for the posts other than the above mentioned should apply through offline mode of application only. Download the DMRC application form from the recruitment notification on the official website. Paste a self attested passport size photograph and sign the application form. Attach the required certificates and post the filled application form at: 

General Manager (HR), Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Ltd, Metro Bhawan Fire Brigade Lane, Barakhamba Road New Delhi

Candidates applying for the following posts are required to pay the application fee of INR 400. However, reserved category candidates (SC/ST/PwD) have to pay INR 150 as the DMRC application fee. Candidates should note that the DMRC application fee is non-refundable. Hence, candidates are suggested to verify their eligibility for the post before paying the DMRC application fee.

DMRC application fee can be paid only by generating the challan. 

Pattern

DMRC conducts written examination that consists of 2 Papers-paper 1 and paper 2. Both the papers are of objective type. Questions in boththe papers are MCQs. DMRC has provision of negative marking, 1/3 of the marksallotted to the questions will be deducted, if wrong choice is marked.  Paper 1 comprises following sections- GeneralAwareness, Logical Ability, Quantitative Aptitude, Decision Making / ProblemSolving and Knowledge of the Discipline/Trade. Paper 2 comprises only GeneralSection and it is conducted to judge the knowledge of candidate in Englishlanguage.
