About Exam

Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is a standardised test being administered since 1988 to facilitate Business Schools (B-Schools) to screen candidates for admissions to MBA and allied programmes. Any B-School - national or international - can consider MAT Score as an admission input based on the Score Cards issued to the candidates.

Eligibility

Candidates have to follow any one of the following criteria:

Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university or institute.

Final year graduation students are also eligible to apply provided they complete their final exam by June 10, 2017

Exam Process

The application procedure for MAT 2017 is completely online. The application fee is Rs. 1600. Late application fee is Rs. 2000.Mode of payment is Credit/Debit Card, Net Banking, cash and Demand Draft.

Pattern

Mode of Exam: Offline 

Total Duration: 210 minutes 

Timing: 10 AM to 1.30 PM


The exam is divided into 2 papers: 


Paper 1: 72 questions from Verbal and Logical Ability, Decision Making, Quantitative Ability (QA) and Data Interpretation (DI)

Duration: 170 minutes or 2 hours 50 minutes

Paper 2: 25 from General Knowledge (GK) and Essay Writing questions.

Duration: 35 Minutes

The number of unattempted questions is 12. Beyond 12 questions, there is a negative marking of 0.05 marks for each unattempted question. For each wrong answer, there is negative marking of 0.25 marks.
