About Exam

MP DMAT is an entrance examination for the students who want to get themselves enrolled in Medical and Dental Courses of government and private colleges of Madhya Pradesh. It is conducted by Association of Private Dental and Medical Colleges (APDMC). It covers more than 20 medical colleges which offer altogether over 2000 seats in various courses. It also offers courses like BPT, B. Sc. Nursing. The Madhya Pradesh Dental/Medical Association Test (MP DMAT). Candidates can fill-in and lock their choices in this given time frame only. One must register for the counselling before coming on the counselling day, in order to participate in the MP DMAT Counselling Process. The counselling process will be held in two rounds. Once the first round is completed, a list for number of vacant seats will be released. Candidates can apply for these vacant seats if they are eligible. After the second round of counselling, an offline counselling will be held. Candidates must keep a check on a separate notification that will be released for the same.

Eligibility

Candidates have to fulfil all the following criteria:

Indian Nationals, Non Resident Indians (NRI’s), Overseas Citizen of India (OCI’s), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO’s) & Foreign Nationals are eligible for appearing in the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (UG), 2017

The upper age limit for candidates seeking admissions in MBBS/BDS seats shall be 25 years as on the date of examination with a relaxation of 5 years for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC category. This means that Candidates of Unreserved Category (UR) must have born on or between 08.05.1992 and 01.01.2001. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC Category must have born on or between 08.05.1987 and 01.01.2001 to appear for NEET 2017.

The candidate must have passed Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and English individually and must have obtained atleast 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Bio-technology at the qualifying examination. For candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes or Other Backward Classes, the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology taken together in qualifying examination must be minimum 40% instead of 50% for General candidates. Further, for persons for locomotor disability of lower limbs, the minimum of 45% marks for General-PH and 40% marks for SC-PH/ST-PH/OBC-PH is required.

The candidates appearing for Class XII examination in 2017 can also appear for the entrance test provisionally subject to their fulfilling the conditions later.

This year NEET will be conducted in 10 languages including English, Hindi and 8 regional languages. Still, the candidates qualifying NEET would be eligible for All India Quota and other quotas under the State Governments/Institutes, irrespective of the medium in which the examination is taken by a candidate, subject to other eligibility criteria.

Exam Process

Candidates have to submit duly filled in application form of MP DMAT 2016 either online or offline. The application form is filled by online mode at the official website.

The candidates will have to pay the amount of Rs.750 as an application fee amount.

Application fee can be paid via cash or Demand Draft. DD must be drawn in favour of APDMC, payable at Bhopal.

In case the form is purchased from the association office, then a DD of Rs.850 is to be paid, that contains postal charges.

If the form is downloaded from the internet, then the candidate has to attach a demand of Rs.1500 for MBBS, BDS, and Rs.750 for other medical courses.

Pattern

MP DMAT 2016 examination will be divided into 4 sections (Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology). There are total 200 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) in the exam. Each section has 50 questions. It is a 3 hour duration test and conducted in both English and Hindi Medium. A candidate will be rewarded 1 mark for every correct answer and no marks will be deducted for wrong answer.

The selection will be based on the rank scored by the applicants in the MP DMAT 2016. The candidates have to meet the criteria in order to get the admission. It is a pen and paper based examination. A candidate will be given OMR sheet to mark answers. The questions will be asked from the syllabus of class XI and XII.

It will be conducted in both English Medium and Hindi Medium.

A candidate will be rewarded 1 mark for every correct answer and no marks will be deducted for wrong answer.

Each Question has only one answer. In case a candidate marks multiple answers to a question in the OMR sheet, then no marks will be awarded.

A candidate is expected to attempt all the questions since all questions are compulsory and there is no negative marking.

Scratching, over-writing, tick mark, use of erasers and whiteners and use of pencil or pen other then Black Ball Point Pen will not be awarded any marks.
