About Exam The National Defence Academy (NDA) is the Joint Services academy of the Indian Armed Forces, where cadets of the three services, the Army, the Navy and the Air Force train together before they go on to pre-commissioning training in their respective service academies. NDA is a premier institute that trains the cadets (candidates) to get selected for Indian Armed Forces as officers. The objective of training, in essence, is to impart academic and technological training of the highest quality in order to equip cadets with appropriate qualification as foundation for their service careers

Eligibility

Eligibility

Citizen of India or subject of Nepal or Bhutan or Tibetan Refugee or PIO + only Unmarried Candidates are allowed to apply

NDA I - Birth between 2-Jul-98 to 1-Jul-01 & NDA II - Birth between 2-Jan-99 to 1-Jan-02

For Army Wing: 10+2 pass from State Education Board or University

For Air Force or Naval Wings: 10+2 pass from State Education Board or University with Physics and Mathematics as a subject

Should be physically fit as per concerned authority

Application Process

Apply online on www.upsc.gov.in

Application Fee is Rs. 100/- for all candidates excluding SC/ST candidates /Sons of JCOs or NCOs

Pattern

Exam Pattern

Paper I - Mathematics - 300 marks - 150 minutes

Paper II - General Ability Test - 600 marks - 150 minutes
