About Exam

PU CET (Punjab University Common Entrance Test) is organised by Punjab University, every year. For the year 2017, the exam is tentatively scheduled in the first week of June 2017. PU CET application form will be available from third week of March 2017. Candidates can apply for PU CET applications till third week of May 2017. Applicants can download PU CET admit cards from third week of May 2017. PU CHD will announce the exam’s result in the second week of June 2017. PU CET Merit List will be based on the marks scored by the candidates in the entrance exam. PU CET or Punjab University Combined Entrance Test is conducted for admission to various undergraduate courses in the field of engineering, architecture and pharmacy. The candidates will be offered admissions to the Punjab University (PU). A candidate must have cleared class 12 examination from a recognized board to be eligible for the exam.

Eligibility

A candidate must have passed 10+2 examination from a recognized board/ university.

B.Sc:  Botany /Zoology/ Anthropology/ Chemistry/Geology/ Physics/ Physics (specialization in Electronics) Passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English. Minimum percentage is 50% for general category candidates and 45% for reserved category candidates.

Biochemistry /Microbiology/ Mathematics Passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, English and biology/ Mathematics / Biotechnology / Computer Science. Minimum percentage is 50% for general category candidates and 45% for reserved category candidates.

The candidates who wish to take help of a scribe must reach the assistant registrar office 10 days before the PU CET exam. The scribe has to be below 16 years of age and must have passed 10+2 examination. The background of scribe will be verified by the examination committee.

Exam Process

The candidate has to complete the PU CET application formfilling process before the month of June 2017. The candidate has to make sure thatthe eligibility guideline for each course is fulfilled by him or her. Thecandidate can fill the PU CET application Form online and then take a print outof the form.

The candidate has to send the additional documents alongwith the PU CET 2017 application form. If the documents are not complete theapplication will be rejected. The documents have to be self attested. The formhas to reach the head office, Chandigarh before the last date.
