About Exam

SBI PO 2017 – The State Bank of India is conducting SBI PO 2016 exam to fill up a total of 2,428 vacancies, including 60 reserved for PWD and 168 backlog vacancies, in its Probationary Officers’ cadre at its branches across the country. The selection of candidates is done as per the candidates rank in SBI PO 2017 merit list. Candidates having high rank in SBI PO 2017 allotment list are only selected for Probationary Officers (PO). The final result of SBI PO 2017 is based on the marks secured in mains exam, descriptive test, group discussion and interview.

Eligibility

Candidate should fulfil all the following criteria: 

• Citizen of India or subject of Nepal or Bhutan or Tibetan Refugee or PIO

• Age should be between 21 to 32 years as of 1st April, 2017 

• Candidate should be a graduate from any institute recognized by legislature or candidates who are in the final year /semester of their graduation

• Candidate should have qualified preliminary SBI PO Exam.


Exam Process

Application form is available on www.sbi.co.in. Only online mode of registration is allowed and payment to be made using Debit/Credit Card or Internet Banking. Rs. 600/- is the fee for General Category and Rs. 100/- for SC/ST/PWD Category.

 (i) Reading Comprehension - 2 Sets 

 (ii) Antonyms & Synonyms 

(iii) Fill Up - A passage is given and you have to fill the sentence within the passage.

IV. General Awareness (Banking + Economy)

(i) Descriptive test consists of two types of questions i.e. - Letter Writing & Essay Writing. 

Maximum limit of For Essay Writing - 300 words

Maximum limit For Letter Writing - 150 words 

Total duration of descriptive test is 30 minutes to answer the questions
